Technical Superintendent

Our client is a world leading marine contractor in the offshore oil and gas industry. Our client transports, installs and removes all types of offshore facilities. These include fixed structures, complex infrastructures and floating facilities, in shallow water, deepwater and ultra deepwater. The current fleet includes three of the world’s biggest semi submersible construction vessels. Early 2010, our client has decided to build a new deepwater construction vessel. The new vessel will be built in Korea and is scheduled to start offshore operations mid 2013.During the design and construction phase of the Multi Joint and Pipe Handling system for the new vessel (2011-2013), the Technical Superintendent MJPH will mainly be responsible for coordination of the subcontractor who is designing and manufacturing the MJPH. After commissioning and testing, the Technical Superintendent MJPH will become part of the Asset Team and responsible for ensuring availability of the MJPH in optimal condition, meeting Class conditions and operational criteria.

Your daily activities:
  • Take Technical ownership of the complete system from design to testing.
  • Single Point of Contact for all technical and interface matters on the system.
  • Manage and coordinate review of Subcontractor design deliverables.
  • Manage and coordinate internal engineering (if applicable).
  • Expedite (the development of) and obtain operational procedures.
  • Ensure that HOS is represented during system fabrication at Subcontractor.
  • Ensure Subcontractor performance on safety, progress, quality and good working relationship with HOS.
  • Ensure that the required Inspection and Test Plans are developed and implemented as per the COMPANY agreed Quality Management plans.
  • Taking system ownership from fabrication through to installation, hook-up, commissioning and testing and accept systems upon FAT and SAT.
